(Putting this here because there isn't a horror forum)
CHAPTER 1
Pryce Emerson awoke from his slumber. He got up out of his bed and walked to the kitchen, expecting to find his mother there, making breakfast. That did not happen. Pryce walked around his house, calling out to his parents.
"Mom? Dad?" he would yell repeatedly, hoping to find some sort of answer. The last place he thought to look was the house's basement, as he was not fond of going down there. But, although he was a bit frightened, he did not want to go hungry, and so he started the trek down the long flight of stairs.
He was about halfway down when he was startled by a large, muffled pounding. It sounded as if it was coming from way in the back of the basement. Pryce waited a few seconds before decided to continue on.
When he was finally at the bottom of the stairs he heard an almost crashing sound, fused with the pounding of before, like a hole being smashed into a wall. Pryce looked over in the direction from which the sound was coming from, and nearly died right there.
In front of him was a large, morbidly obese clown, with blood streaming down its lips, coming out of its mouth through its jagged and unclean teeth. It was incredibly disproportionate when compared to the average person, to the point where it was hard to distinguish it from something that isn’t a person at all, but rather a sort of monstrous entity.
When the clown had noticed Pryce, it grinned, and then it grinned some more, and then it opened its mouth and laughed a great belly laugh, and it was unbearable to listen to as the creature’s voice was coarse, yet it was loud, almost demonic. Pryce got down on the floor to cover his ears and close his eyes to shield himself from the unrelenting terror that was eating away at him at that very moment.
The laughing did stop (after a few seconds, but it felt like hours to Pryce) and Pryce uncovered his ears; he did not open his eyes for he did not want to look at the hideous abomination before him. He hoped that it was all a dream, and that when he opened his eyes he would be rid of the creature and all the horror it had caused him.
3…… He counted in his mind. 2…… He was almost there. 1….. He opened his eyes and jumped up…….
The creature had not vanished. It was still right there in front of him. Pryce ran up the stairs, with the monster following him. He had made it into the kitchen very quickly, so that he had a bit of time before the clown got there, but not much. He found a knife and hid behind a section of the kitchen’s counter, and waited.
The monster leaped into the room, roaring with its grating and horrible voice. Pryce got up, and attempted to scream even louder, although he probably did not succeed. He jumped and stabbed the clown in the chest, having been given a huge rush of adrenaline, and kept cutting into the clown. The creature flailed its arms and tried to stop Pryce, but he kept stabbing it, and kept cutting until he was able to reach in and rip out the heart of the beast.
